The Prosecuting Attorney serves as the legal advisor for the county and township officers, boards, commissions, and other county entities. The Civil provides day-to-day legal advice, drafts and prepares legal documents, negotiates agreements, advises boards and officials, and represents our clients in civil litigation matters.

The Civil Division represents the County Treasurer in all matters relating to the collection of of past due real estate taxes, personal property taxes, and Board of Tax Appeal cases. It also initiates foreclosure proceedings against delinquent taxpayers.
